A Jeff Carter shortie so the shutout is in serious jeopardy.

Bless you, my child, for helping to keep my 18-0 winning record safe. :D

The Flyers mucked up three categories: Harnell's 10 PIM gives the Cape Fear a one-minute lead entering Sunday in that category and Cape Fear gets a SHG and a SHA on Carter's Flyers goal to tie PPP and give CFF the lead in PPG. So it's at 16-2 headed into a light Sunday.

Still possible to pull out the perfect week, but damned unlikely now. An 18-0 week? Also unlikely.

League history is safe for another week. My Stormin Canes rallied in PIM, so the final score was 17-1. Combined with the Chiefs' loss to the Ice Capades the Canes are, however temporarily, back in first place. MB's The Crosby Show continues to get closer to the top and HB's Avery's Agitators won to take over fifth place.

My middle of the pack fantasy status seems safe. [/not poodle]

And now the team that lost 17-1 has an 18-1 lead the very next week. Figure that one out.

The Rolling Rocks need goals. Badly. And fewer injuries. And for there to be more help in the free agent pool.

Looking like we won't be defending that title. Anyone got a goal-scorer they want to part with?

You looking for just goals or is it scoring in general?

I sort of subscribe to the Ken Hitchcock theory of forward pairs in trying to get two guys from one line who might play together (Spezza-Alfredsson, Carter-Hartnell, Gagne-Knuble).

But when half the forwards are on one team and they play one game in a week it can be a dry spell (last week) or everybody gets going great guns (this week). Over the season it all averages out.

I'm glad my team played your Flyers last week and not this week! I don't know if it's just in my fantasy-hockey games, but there seem to be a heck of a lot more short-handed goals, assists and points this season.

I think it only lasted a week. If my math is right and I didn't miss anything in the box scores, I'm only 10 goalie saves from the elusive sweep.

    It's over! 19-0. :D
