Not to put too much pressure on JR, but I'm glad someone brought this thread back up from the greater abyss.

Would love to know if we have more details? :)

And for those of you are teeter-tottering on whether to attend - you should. The D.C. outing in 2005 was a blast!

Provided I'm employed by then, I'm going for it -- all of it.

I was thinking this could be good road-trip material, too, for the 2005 Gang. You know, one person rent a van, folks share driving duties, stop and pick up people along the way.

Then again, y'all aren't as into partying as I (still) am.

Of course, no one probably has the time to do that.

    Passy,

You have a valid point.  JR and I talked about the dates earlier.  For a variety of reasons there's really only two viable weekends.  I can't make the other and JR - love that man - didn't want to go with that if I couldn't be there. I'm seriously very touched.
But I will say this now: If the earlier weekend (roughly the same time as last year's) works better for more people, have it then and send me PMs and postcards.

I won't hold it against you too long.

Man, let's either not move the date, or move it real quickly. I bet some people bought tickets already. I darn near did, and I've blocked off vacation days for it. My view: The dates have been known for close to 3 months; they shouldn't be changed.

I've also booked days off for the original dates... so I can shop like mad play tour guide.

key words: IF YOU SHOW UP ...

so many people say they're going to go, and then things come up and their cousin is in some play and all kinds of excuses happen.

be there or be square :)

Dooley, re-read my post and get back to me. I was just saying.

And as a member of the first SportsJournalists.com outing (an outing that included about 10% of the people who said they were going) I think I have standing to ask these kinds of questions. Ass.
