I lived there 26 years ago, which is of absolutely no help, I realize.

I live north of Houston, but so far north that I'm practically halfway to Dallas. I do make a trip up there a couple times a year. They have great concerts and scrapbook conventions in Dallas. (Not that Webby cares about those, but it's what I drive up there for.)

Yeah, and don't worry about the summers. They are a piece of cake.

Houston is so damn big that the North SIDE of Houston is halfway to Dallas.

OK, I'm pretty sure there is some SJ joke in there from way back that I don't understand. But scrapbooking is not only my hobby, it's also the way I make my living.

Well, most of the time, anyway. :)

Not much of an exaggeration ... it's only 150 miles between Conroe and the Ellis County line — what I consider the two extremes of each metro. Where two lanes become three or four in each direction.

    (OOOPS ... shouldn't have said "lanes!" ;D )

Welcome to the 'Plex, Webby. Maybe this can be the start of a full-on DFW chapter. Hell, maybe we can get Dallas back in the rota for the 2010 outing / gathering.
