Toss up between Good Doc and writing irish.

Full disclosure: LJB has been around for years; was previously Herbert Hopnoodle. This isn't an outing; I've posted back and forth on threads with him about his previous ID. No issue with him being honored; I had a good giggle about it.

    Wasn't LJB also Greedo?

No offense to either one, but I'm aghast at the lack of love and respect being shown to one of the best writers in our industry.

I voted for him, but it had little to do with him working for a national magazine or being a great writer and more to do with pretty damn funny and informative posts.

Edit: I was thinking of the other thread, in actuality I voted for writing irish because he is pretty funny.

"I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all."

So much more poetic than "Life's not fair," "Shit happens" or "Every dog has his day."

He was No. 1A on my list. Had to go with Douglas tho, since he brought SportsJournalists.com back from the dead.

I don't get the Kindred thing. I understand who he is, and I'm a big fan of him. But I guess it depends on what you want from a newbie...I'd like someone who was around more than one month.

But that's just me. Certainly no knock on the man...jeebus, not at all.

I want someone who posts more than once or twice every three weeks. Fabulous that he's here, but looking back through his posts, it's once, sometimes a couple times on the same thread, every three weeks or so.
