I got 17 out of 60 within two places, including shotglass (who I almost had spot-on all across the board) and TheSportsPredictor (ironically).

Showing how volume has picked up this past year, TSP had to post 1,142 more times to meet his projected place.

Looking at the actual posts compared to the projected posts tells the tale. A bunch of people didn’t post as much in 2007, while others really stepped up their game — including Angola, who was somewhere around 250th at the start of last year.

I realize posting these projections skews the stats like the Heisenberg uncertainty principle — you alter the results by observing them. But it’s interesting — and a great time waste.

This year, in the next few days, I will do a proper Hot 100 and will have more accurate data with which to do a projection.

ADD: And yes, Angola will be on it.
