That's right people. Freelance had a little extra time on his hands over the weekend, so I decided to create the pool a little early.

Similar format as before. There are four pools of players. Pick one in each pool, and pick two alternates (for the alts -- only one can be picked from the Top US players pool).

Winner will be determined by lowest team score through the four rounds. Rank your players from 1-4 for the tiebreaker (I'll copy and paste US Open tiebreaker format). If any of your players gets cut, is DQ or WDs, then your alternate takes over. If it's a cut, the alt starts the third round. If it's a DQ or WD, the alt starts from the beginning of that round.

If you do not have four players complete the tournament, your team is disqualified.

    Any questions, post here.

EDIT -- team submissions are due by Thursday 1 am ET (that's Wednesday night 10 pm for those on the West Coast, 7 pm Hawaiian).

If in the event of a tie for first place, ties will be broken accordingly

    A. Any team needing an alternate is eliminated (if there are still teams tied, those teams move to B)
    B. Highest finish among player on team (if there are still teams tied, those teams move to C)
    C. Golfer ranked No. 1 by teams (if there are still teams tied, those teams move to D)
    D. No. 2 golfer (if there are still teams tied, those teams move to E)
    E. No. 3 golfer (if there are still teams tied, those teams move to F)
    F. No. 4 golfer (if there are still teams tied, those teams move to G)
    G. A Alternate (if there are still teams tied, those teams move to H)
    H. B Alternate (if there are still teams tied, those teams move to I)

    Team: Buick Open Superstars

    Group 1: Tiger Woods
    Group 2: Padraig Harrington
    Group 3: Kenny Perry
    Group 4: Vijay Singh

    Alt 1: Jim Furyk
    Alt 2: John Daly

The idea was to pick a team of 6 Buick Open champs, since I've covered it every year since 1997. Unfortunately, that's not possible under the rules - no one from Group 2 has ever won (or finished second), and Vijay and Perry are the only winners outside Group 1, thanks to Justin Leonard's withdrawal. So I'll go with Paddy, who at least had a nice run in the tournament once, and Big John, who had an epic duel with Vijay and Tiger in 2004.
