    From Texas:

    Throckmorton 102, May 100 (5 OT)

The game was decided by a missed PAT kick

    Throckmorton's usually pretty good, right?

Everything about six-man football is stupid.

that's why having a kicker in six-man is so huge. you gotta realize, these are schools with like 50 kids total. not as many to choose from, ya know? and harder to block for those when two of your six are kicker/holder, leaving just a four-man front. many (most?) six-man schools just go for the conversion.

50 kids is generous. In Montana some of those schools are lucky to have 15 students, and the teams are often coed.

It's 11-man football or no football at all.

For the night, 13 six-man games saw more than 100 points scored.

    202 -- Throckmorton 102, May 100
    188 -- Fort Elliott 106, Miami 82
    126 -- Bynum 65, Coolidge 61
    125 -- Petersburg 77, New Home 48
    121 -- Avalon 72, Leverett's Chapel 49
    115 -- Woodson 75, Rising Star 40
    111 -- SA FEAST Homeschool 77, SA Sunnybrook 34
    110 -- Fort Davis 66, Sierra Blanca 44
    110 -- Richland Springs 60, Gordon 50
    105 -- Robert Lee 61, Rankin 44
    103 -- Knox City 70, Bryson 33
    103 -- Paint Rock 60, San Angelo TLC 43
    101 -- Whiteface 59, Dawson 42

    Sterling City 58, Sands 40

And remember, Texas has a 45-point mercy rule.

I just wonder what you ask a coach after his team scores 82 points and loses by three or four touchdowns.
