    If he didn't have the sub-10 seconds to look it up, then he's got bigger issues. If you're so stretched that you don't have an additional 5-7 seconds to do any one singular thing, this job (or any like it) would be completely miserable.

    Singular, maybe. But if you don't know a lot of that shit, then you're looking stuff up 10-20 times a story. And that's a lot of looking up over an 8-hour shift.

    If all your stories are a series of looked-up facts, you probably have bigger issues.

    I look up stuff all the time. And I think I have a pretty good grasp on things. It's called fact checking. It's how mistakes get prevented.

    And if it's super-high pressure, I'm guessing the pay is good. Quite good.
