SI's complete story archive going online

Discussion in 'Journalism topics only' started by Small Town Guy, Mar 19, 2008.

  1. I recently read that for my sports reporting class and absolutely loved it. Part of the reason I'm so glad SI did this - I want to read LOTS more of Deford. Guys like him just make me feel so inferior, like I should just step away from the laptop and find something else to do with my life.

Thanks for those suggestions, pseudo. I'm hoping I'll have time to sit down with all of these at some point this weekend. Printing them out now.

Anyone figure out how to do a good search by specific writers? If you type in, say, Dan Jenkins, it doesn't necessarily come up with his bylined stories, but just stories where that would appear in the actual text. So it's harder to find some of the lesser known stories by some of the writers, because you might miss them unless you know the specific date or subject.

Err Jordan . . .to a faraway observer, it was interesting that Steve Wulf wrote this story tearing Jordan a new asshole, then ended up at Time magazine a few minths later.

Just a Dr. Z gamer I really like.
