Shares of stock in Sirius XM closed at 95 cents each today.

Maybe I shouldn't go with the three-year extension just yet.

The more Bon Scott-era AC/DC, the better.

Which sent my 14-year-old, punk-rock loving son into a tizzy, because that used to be Fungus 53. You should have seen him when he punched that in on my receiver driving to school the other day.

It was like an addict denied his fix.

Actually, I like AC/DC, but I also liked some of the music on Fungus, especially the punk covers and "Kowabunga Uber Alles" -- the surf punk they play on Friday evenings. With all the free stations floating around there, I see no reason why they had to nuke Fungus.

It's preempting the punk channel on Sirius, as well.

I'm guessing the punk channels come back after AC/DC goes off the air. Isn't it a temporary station anyway?

And why the hell is the Metallica channel still on? I thought that went off the air Sept. 15?

Runs through mid-January. No idea about the Metallica station, but I wasn't listening anyway.

The Metallica channel is comical and superfluous, because if you turn to XM 41 (The Boneyard), every third song is Metallica.

For me, there are four stations that Sirius absolutely can not mess with and the rest they are free to do whatever the hell they damn please. Those four are Octane (20), Blue Collar Comedy, Raw Dog Comedy and Howard 100.

The rest of them? Eh, whatever.

(That's not to say I don't like any other stations, but if any of the above four got bumped, I'd be one pissed off fat boy.

Screw Fungus, the AC/DC channel kicks ass. I hope it lasts forever.
