The Dow is in the process of a Chernobyl-like meltdown.

Thanks, Bushie, you're doing a heckuva job. ;)

I'm no fan of W, but this has as much to do with China and other foreign markets as it does what's happening here and in Iraq/Iran.

  3. And his budgets have an awful lot to do with why China has an awful lot to do with this.

Just wanted to save this one so that when the market regains that 3 precent in a couple of weeks, someone could eat some crow.

And Bush will still be a fuckup.

Sorry, Fen, but I stop the Bush bashing at this point simply because the market is affected by far too many conditions for the Shrub to be at blame here.

Fen, my concern is more over what kind of hit I'll see on my 401 (k). Bush wouldn't have even entered my thoughts had you not mentioned him.

There are times when the Shrub isn't the one to blame. Doing so any time anything goes wrong only feeds the trolls.

Read the fifth link from the top: "Exchange Rate And Monetary Policy In China," by Nicholas R. Lardy, Cato Journal, vol. 25, no 1, Winter 2005."
