Since no one goes to sporting events, what to do in Miami?

So, I'm heading to Miami for a long weekend in early February with my girlfriend and, thanks to the joys of airline miles and credit card points, it's basically going to be free. That gives us some extra money to play with and we're looking for ideas.

She's already ruled out a Miami Heat game, but we're probably going to do a half-day excursion at some point and we want to do one ridiculously fancy dinner.

The rest of the time will likely be spent on the beach, on the pool deck or in bed.

    Anybody got any fun recommendations?

Last time I was in Miami, I was 4 years old, and my sister taught me how to swim by throwing me in the deep end of the pool while my parents were away from the hotel.

I wouldn't recommend it as a way to teach children to swim.
    Very Darwinian.
    In my case, it worked.

I hadn't thought of it in ages, but my sister roasted me at an occassion several months ago and brought it up during her bit.
