You guys obviously have never had gobstoppers, shock tarts, nerds or nerd ropes.

 

I like nerds. Gobstoppers are ok...never had nerd ropes or shock tarts

but I still LOVE bottle caps.

He invoked The Wire, but, man, this was so like Ricky in Boyz N The Hood.... it's spooky.

 

It's usually pretty newsworthy to the people in the town in question. And hell, this kind of story resonates even if you don't live in L.A. or hadn't heard of the kid.

Even if you're sick of reading Mitch Albom's offerings. Just because he's written these sorts of stories doesn't make them off-limits to the rest of the industry.

Too bad Simmons A) Had to inject himself needless; B) Couldn't resist the Wire nonsense.
