You think he'll end up at an online website?

    That's where I figure he'll end up.

I'm not familiar with Sherry Stern -- who is an LA Times editor/reporter or something -- but she tweeted that Simers is about to join the OC Register.

I was so certain it'd be one of those online websites.

Sherry is a main entertainment editor at the Times with very good sources at the Register.

    I'd say he's going.

Speaking of the OC Register, Bob Keisser with a nice tribute to Tark vis-a-vis his dominance at Long Beach State. Never lost a home game.

Tark's going into the Basketball Hall of Fame tomorrow.

I heard Simers reputation for being difficult to work with may be part of the reason he's not going to ESPN LA.

He basically said, "The fact that it wasn't an emphatic no tells you everything you need to know about how great of a writer he is..."

I know there are a few former Times people at ESPN LA.

I think one of the things Simers has working against him is that he probably can't pull off his column at a national level, not at his age.

Oh great, LAobserved is using this thread as one of its sources on Simers leaving the Times.

In other news LAObserved can use: Alie Ward is simply delicious.
