Sign the scorecard? Not as Wie-sy as it sounds

Make sure you sign your book before leaving the site. You'll be DQ'd.

I was about to chastise you for exaggerating insanely to make a point . . . and then I went to LPGA.com and saw that's the actual leaderboard this week.

    Oh, my fucking God.

It's no wonder they spent all Friday night and Saturday morning looking for a way to avoid DQ'ing her.

I haven't heard of half these guys. And the ones I have heard of are way past their prime.

"This one here's name won't fit in an agate column."

    "Cross her off, then."

Looks like the list of room numbers at the local massage parlor.

It's not a stupid rule. Wie has played in how many tournaments in her young life . . . 300, 400? She's had to sign her scorecard after every round. Please don't blame the people who wrote the rule.

  8. Yes.

    See NBA draft

Agreed. It's not a stupid rule. It's a stupid mistake. And a tough break.

The rule should be in place for this tournament, yes, because everyone who entered began under the rules. But can we not discuss the future of such a rule?

Nah, not bullshit. She didn't sign yesterday. Technically, today never happened.

And I agree with the poster who said the LPGA officials were scrambling for a loophole. Michelle Wie is ... um ... uh ... more marketable ... than Christina Kim.

    Actually, I think she's 19, isn't she?

I'm one guy who'll say I'd like to ... um ... market some of what Christina Kim is selling. But I'm a noted chubby chaser, so, that's no surprise.
