    Too late to offer Danny Ford to Minnesota? He can cheat with the best of 'em.

    I don't know about that. Clemson was able to get past Mississippi State by 3 points a week or so ago so it's clear that the Tigers are a top-notch squad this season.
    Monson needed hungry alums to give him more time to rebuild Minnesota. He's a good coach who will resurface somewhere. Perhaps as an assistant at a top program a la David Hobbs at Ky.

    Getting Alford fired at Iowa and getting him the Minnesota job would be one of those great double whammies - great for Iowa, terrible for Minnesota...
