    The storyline is part of a Dark Knight Returns-type future Spider-Man, alternate universe story.

    And man, that's stupid as all hell. In any reality.

    But then, Marvel is the company where a lot of idiot old-school creators still don't get why Mary Jane, a model, would marry a geek like Peter Parker. Maybe because he's fucking Spider-Man?
