    But, again, he didn't sit back and wait for people to find him.

    He didn't even apply for open positions and then get hired into Atlanta magazine and then SI.

    He aggressively/smartly marketed his work and networked with people to make sure they saw it. And, he pitched good stories that he knew he could write (or had already written).

    Finally got around to reading it. It was indeed tremendous.

    And it appears that it was Brandon Marshall (or at least his buddy) who started the fight that got Williams killed. I'm hardly surprised ...

    Does anyone else find their brains shutting off at the mention of the phrase "champagne shower"?

    I find my brain shutting off at the concept that some people are still unable to humbly accept the spoils of the success they have finally achieved without being grotesquely and pervertedly ostentatious about it.

    'humility' is certainly the RAREST of qualities for athletes.
