SI.com is having its writers give their various SOY choices on the website. Jim Larranaga from George Mason, Barbaro's owners, etc. Some interesting picks.

Not sure anyone has stood out. Maybe the 3 big youngs guns of the NBA?

It won't be Woods because he's already won it at least twice (I think...)

I would hope Federer would win it, but putting him on the cover might not sell enough magazines...

The George Mason coach would also be an interesting pick...

I like that school of thought. I would love to see that selection.

    How about Paul Tagliabue?

Would make a lot of sense, and I don't think you could really argue.

Where the hell did you come from?
No posts since Oct. 29 then Ohio State wins the big game and suddenly we are forced to listen to idiotsnetwork again?

Edit: I voted Federer, because I think he is outside of the box and he just had a ridiculous year.

I wouldn't like it, but in a weak year like this, I wouldn't be shocked to see them give it to the two steroids reporters.

As much as I detest Roger Federer -- I have my reasons -- he's the easy choice. But because tennis is a relatively unpopular sport, I have a feeling someone else will win it.

Nothing against Buck, may he rest in peace, but I think there's a rule against anyone with ties to Kansas City being bestowed with this honor. And if there's not, there should be.
