SI.com declares that Weis is done

    Of course, it does so with no semblance of reporting, sourcing or byline. None of it. This, you'll recall, is the organization that has been held in high esteem in sports journalism circles for decades but is now willing to abdicate the authority.

    Agreed. A sympathetic figure is not needed at Notre Dame; a pathetic one is... heard Ty Willingham's available...

    If this is true -- and with seven years left on that contract, I view that as a big if -- some other schools (Tennessee, Clempson, you listening?) will be accelerating their searches ...
