    Observations on some of those:

--My So-Called Life spent most of its life on the wrong side of the shark. How many times can one frickin pine for Jordan Catalano? How many times can the gay teen hate his life and wanna die? How many times can the slutty-acting girl act slutty?
--House hasn't jumped, but it's strapped in, pending how many of the three underlings they bring back.
--Barney Miller wasn't as good without Fish. Dunno if you would call that a jump, tho.
--Repeating that L&O jumped with Southerlyn got the gay out of nowhere.

    Beavis and Butt-head, great call.

I'd say Daria, too, if you're gonna include the MTV shows.

Can you say a reality series has jumped the shark? If that's the case, Real World did so in San Francisco.

Last night, Vince McMahon "blew himself up" in a limo to end WWE's Raw show on the USA Network. Kind of a Sopranos ending that maybe some people wanted to see on Sunday. Go to wwe.com, by the way, to see stories on Mr. McMahon's "death"

Ahhh..... you and I have a rare fundamental disagreement re: entertainment.

For a show to have "completed their brilliant run without jumping the shark," doesn't the show have to have ended?

Why, then, are we including The Simpsons on this list?

According to my DVDs, So-Called is hyphenated. God, I loved that show.

    The Young Ones
Arrested Development (Though it came pretty close with the Mr. F storyline.)

I was certain you would have picked out Vacant Lot, Exit 57, or especially, Mr. Show.
