Should there be a statute of limitations on success?

So I just saw this commercial for TNT's "Leverage," and the ad prominently mentions ACADEMY AWARD WINNER Timothy Hutton.

Hutton won his award in 1980 for his performance as Conrad Jarrett in Ordinary People. Then he made Taps and a couple other relatively well-known movies.
    AND THEN...

The Temp(?). The Dark Half(?). Dead by Midnight(?). Etc.

Hutton is the Pat Listach of Academy Award winners.

TNT should not be allowed to pimp him out like that.

Academy Awards are forever, just like herpes. From what I hear.

I sure hope you have first-hand knowledge of the Oscars and not the H. I hope.

Timothy Dutton is the Toni Basil of actors.

Timothy Dutton directed the video for the Cars' "Drive."

Does that merit a lifetime pass?

Are we talking about Timothy Hutton or Timothy Dutton? Now I'm all confused.

I have no first-hand knowledge of either, hence the "from what I hear" disclaimer. :)

Mr. Hutton gets a lifetime pass for playing Willie in Beautiful Girls, my favorite movie about late 20s angst, and a film that should be applauded for deftly handling the uncomfortable truth that Natalie Portman was way cute, even at a ridiculously young age.

Willie: I was jealous of a little kid on a bike, because he gets to be her age, and I'm this vile old man. Like that guy, what's-his-name...

    Mo: Roman Polanski?

    Willie: No! Nabakov.

That is a great film. I think I watched it about 12 times when it was on heavy HBO rotation some years back.
