I think it's a combination of that and getting certain things covered by insurance.

I worked with a guy who was pushing four bills and he once told someone, "Oh, I have a thyroid problem, so this isn't my fault."

Well Dick I see you got our exchange wiped out.

But let's be clear about what doctors and psychologists have called diseases and the genetic implications.

Did I? What exchange? I don't know what you're talking about.

It was about your suggested mandate that fat people be required to run marathons to keep their weight down and my response to it.

How did I get that "wiped out"?

You asked if overweight people should be mandated to run marathons.

    I answered, "yes."

And that's as ridiculous as asking a gay person to get psychological counseling to see if they can be made straight. So leaving the Nazi guy out of the question, I'll ask again, are you fascinated with history's attempts to come up with the perfect race of humanity and eliminating all you'd find to be "less than" the ideal?

then how are you different from the guy with the paper-hanging guy with the over-cut mustache?

Things like hypothyroidism, depression and other psychological issues certainly cause obesity but absent underlying medical conditions like these I don't get the point of calling obesity itself a disease.
