The one problem I have is that I just don't seem to drive fast enough. I typically drive within 10-15 mph of the speed limit either way, but everyone just seems to race by me.

My first night there, I almost rolled over a car trying to keep pace with them.

As I was basically told on the day shifts, you have to speed so your crew can meet its numbers.

    I'm definitely giving notice.

I arrived at one location kind of late. I was caught up in traffic leaving the airport. There are two ways out I could have taken and I guess I picked the wrong one at the time. It was completely gridlocked. Then I had to deal with construction in a tunnel and the lane closures.

The lead driver asked me why I was so late. I told him traffic. He said he didn't see any. So I guess I made it all up.

He said there were complaints about the crew being too slow and I needed to pick it up.

I never should have applied for the job in the first place.

You don't deal well with adversity, do you?

No, I just think if I'm going to be paid to do something I owe it to them to be good at it and if I'm not good at it I don't belong there.

    Silly idea, I know.

So your solution is what? Drive faster? Get better?

I'm trying that. It's not working.
