Should Apple help the Feds break into the San Bernardino shooter's iPhone?

Wow. Facebook removed a picture of the WTC "Falling Man" with a caption saying that's why "I" don't care about how we gather information from terrorists.

Why should I have to pay more for health care to make up for the losses hospitals factor in for uninsured people who don't or can't pay?

Depends on whether they are examining Peyton Manning's ankle.

Donald Trump is great at preying on people's fears.

If I were Apple, I'd say, "OK, Feds, we'll put our best guys on figuring out how to break into the iPhone."

Then assign some schlub to it and make sure it never gets done. If the feds can't figure a way, they can't bitch if Apple can't, either.

I think Apple will continue to object while also making sure some fax of recently departed Apple employees with the ability to break it open gets to the Feds.

That said - while a PR nightmare, it's also a great promotion for the iPhone's security features.

Sounds like how the State Department handles/handled FOIA requests.

Don't Apple users lean "left" politically, anyway?

Most of the people I know with iPhones are at least Democrats, if not dyed-in-the-wool socialists.

Oh wait, those are just the journalists I work with ... ;)

I am alarmed at the support for the gov't on this issue.
Just as I was alarmed by the expansion of FISA powers.
I do not understand how anyone who considers himself/herself politically conservative can be pro-gov't on this issue.
