Holy shit! I drove over that bridge today around 2 o'clock.

 

It's a completely self-serving note, but I don't care: I'm damn proud of my co-workers today. Since this story broke, I like to think they've done a fantastic job covering this story.

My friend's friend has surfaced and is ok. He left his phone home and is still not allowed back into his place yet (he lives right around the corner from the Civic Association.

 

a relief to hear. i know mrs. shockey and i are grateful that little man had the sense to call us to say he was fine before we even knew what was going on.

so many friends and family members have called since to check in on him, even though all knew this wasn't a campus-related incident. still, your heart can race.

 

Sadly, I believe this is just the tip of the iceberg. More will be coming.

 

That is exactly what I thought when I heard about it earlier.
