    We should shut down abortion clinics, because they're being needlessly provocative to the pro-life crowd. Somebody might get hurt, and preventing that is a waste of taxpayer resources ...

    Yes. If drawing the likeness of Muhammad was illegal, people would still be doing it in back alleys with coat hangars.

    I can't even begin to imagine how pathetic one's life must be to reach the conclusion that it's a good idea to go to Garland, Texas and shoot people who are drawing pictures of Mohammed for the express purpose of agitating Mooslims.
