Shane Dronett found dead in home

    I remember him as a Bronco defensive lineman, but mainly, I remember him for some random NBC Saturday NFL game where Mike Ditka butchered his name throughout the telecast, calling him Shane Drow-nay.

    His Texas team lost at Mississippi State in '91, then he, though an All-American, didn't play in Senior Bowl and missed a shot to play on same squad as Brett Favre there in Mobile.
    State whipped Texas again in '92 at Austin, but Dronett was already in the NFL.

    RIP, Shane.

    Dronett was one of the can't-miss draft picks on defense that got the Pillsbury Doughboy canned in Denver.
