Sexual Harassment

Had to visit HR this morning. A co-worker charged me with sexual harassment over a comment that I made to her in passing.
Here's the story. This person and I had been kidding each other for quite some time. Nothing heavy. On Monday, I told her if she didn't have a boy friend, I would take her home with me.
    That's it, nothing more.
The next thing I knew, I was called in to HR.
Now, I'm pissed. What should I do?

My advice: Be grateful this is the only evidence they have on you.

If they ever read your posts here, you'd be out on your ass faster than you can say, "Anal sex."

Stop sexually harassing her, for starters.

Oh how the world turns. Who won the pool for the day this would happen? Zeke....Slappy?

    Thinking might help, Bootsy.

You can't be serious, thinking there was nothing wrong with what you said to your coworker. It's probably one of the definitions of sexual harassment.

There was no harassing. She had made the same statement to me exactly a month ago. We had been teasing each other for a while. When she made her statement to me, I just laughed and chalked it off.
This action came out of nowhere.

In all seriousness, I hope nothing comes of this because it sounds innocent enough. But it's certainly a reason to watch yourself closely.

I'm really pissed. I'm the second person on this floor this has happened to in two weeks. Last week, we had a guy hauled in because a gal said he was "leering" at her.
