As if we didn't already have proof of that American-mindset, there's this ...

I know of no American mindset in which sex is bad.

If that's the case, I'm moving to Canada posthaste.

That's why when I play Power Rangers on Super Nintendo, I'm the pink ranger. Kimberly's the perfect mixture of sex and violence.

I was at a friend's house recently, and we were playing Super Nintendo -- obviously -- while another friend watched. We were talking about a game that didn't work, and he called the number on the back, the help number for Nintendo. At the end of a long, automated message and a couple of numbers pressed, we hear, on speaker-phone, "If you are calling about problems with a cartridge for Nintendo or Super Nintendo, we're sorry, but we don't make those games any longer and, therefore, do not offer any services for them. ... If you are looking to buy games for those systems, try a local used video-game store. ..."

At that moment, we all looked at each other -- three of the four of us who play Super Nintendo and Nintendo exclusively -- and realized we'd be 12 forever.

I highly recommend "This Film Is Not Yet Rated" for anyone who hasn't seen it. You want hypocrisy, it is spelled MPAA.
As for Miller, it's his business he can do what he wants. Now I really want to see that movie. I've already enjoyed hearing various sports announcers tell me "the action is being brought to us by Zack and Miri Make a Porno."

Are there whole segments of American society where the women can't show their ankles and they only have sex with their men in absolute darkness, with a minimum of clothing openings?

The FCC violates the First Amendment by it's very existence. [/my pavlovian response to all mentions of the FCC]

Though to their credit, the FCC is the theme of Family Guy's finest song.
