    Don't mean to sidetrack, but after "oh, my God, no!" my second thought was "Sheesh, and AP laid off the GRR correspondent. I wonder who'll get their byline."

    I heard the scanner when he pulled the trigger to take himself out. According to the GRPD Chief, the suspect hemmed and hawed whether to give himself up and when the officers were giving him the directions on how to surrender, he offs himself.
