Seriously...what's the use of cheerleaders?

High school...fine, they actually lead cheers. It is a way for little Molly to get a varsity letter.
College: OK, I can see it, they are the rah-rah group in front of the student section. Especially in DII or DIII since there isn't much else during timeouts.
In the pros: There is so much other crap going on (kiss cam, fantasy football ticker, advertisements blaring, dogs with frisbees, et al.) why would a team waste money on what is basically a group of pole dancers and girls scared of hooking?
I've not once for the life of me, remembered during a stoppage in play, the cheerleaders...LEADING A CHEER!
Now, I know they do lead cheers every once in a while during Packer games, but they aren't "pros", the Pack let's high school and college teams do cheerleading.

Just curious if there is an actual point.

Being an NFL cheerleader seems futile to me, except as a path to modeling jobs or whatever.

 

Besides which, they're just a bunch of 6s.

Yeah, and this has nothing to do with football.
In the day in age of porn on demand via a handheld device (hell, if I wanted, I got go in the bathroom at work to pop one off)...chicks wearing clothes, although skimpy, does nothing for me.
I go to football games...to watch, *GASP*, football.
