Try the library, too. You have nothing to lose.

Given how expensive used sets are?
And they'll probably ship it to you free, tax-free? Pretty good.

    Yes.
That's less than a dollar an episode.
Buy it. You won't regret it

Well, my experience says there aren't a lot of people smarter than you.

The series is a Greek tragedy, as opposed to say, The Sopranos, which is all Shakespeare, all the time

Just enjoy the damn show. :)

Funny, but I've already bought a set for my son. :)

About half my posts say this, but it's worth saying again: Best single season I've ever seen of any show, ever. Just an absolutely perfect portrayal of what life was like as a teenager in suburbia. It might have resonated more with me b/c I was (am!) a geek and have a sister who was trending towards the freaks in HS and have a Dad who was Mr. Worst-Case Scenario and had to be talked off the ledge nightly by Mom, but it's a wonderful show regardless of your upbringing.

No. I found it several places for $67. Try Half.com. I can't remember where else. Just google "The Wire complete series DVD."
