    Senior NFL Sports Reporter


    USA TODAY Sports Network is seeking an experienced Senior NFL reporter to work on breaking league news, both for on and off the field issues, for USA TODAY and the USA TODAY Sports
    Network. The ideal candidate will have established contacts throughout the league and be able to deliver breaking news in real-time and news-oriented features content for digital and print. The candidate will also be expected to do video, FB Live and Instagram on a regular basis. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work closely with multiple teams while maintaining the high standards of USA TODAY Sports and the USA TODAY Network.


    Responsibilities:

    · Breaking news and be our main voice on NFL news.

    · Needs to show the ability to break and confirm news in a timely manner for usatodaysports.com and then follow through with more detail for digital and print.

    · Work with social media team to execute content strategies on emerging platforms.

    • Communicate with NFL Editor and other members of the NFL team to create and share ideas and possible story leads.
    • Work closely with USA TODAY Sports Network properties to expand traffic across entire network.
    Qualifications:


    • Experience on the NFL beat.
    • Must have established contacts in all areas of the NFL –from players to agents to the NFL office to NFPA.
    • Excel at meeting deadlines and understands the strategic importance of digital first, 24x7 delivery.
