    When I worked there, and it was taken over by Times-Mirror, there was a lot of talk about moving it to the NYC area where the rest of the cos properties were.

    The freakout from many of staff members, so many of whom (at the time) were native St. Louisans and wouldn't relocate (I have no idea why, but hey, I didn't grow up there) had something to do with putting the kibosh on that.

    I imagine the staffers probably wouldn't be quite so vociferous about it a decade later.
