Sending clips as PDFs

Discussion in 'Journalism topics only' started by Omar_dont_scare, Nov 15, 2006.

  1. So all our newspapers are now available as PDFs. When applying for a job, would it be better to just send links to the full page, so that the date and such can easily be seen?

Or is it better to crop the PDFs and just send the clips, and reference date information on an index?

Similarly, if I don't have easy access to paper copies and can easily get PDF's, is it acceptable to print a cropped version of the PDF if I have to snail mail my clips in?

How do you make your clips into PDF's?

Use Quark or InDesign and export them to a pdf.

That seems way too easy. I wanted complicated and difficult to understand.
