And how do we know when the "steroids era" officially began and ended? Who makes that determination? Nobody knows for certainty when they were first used in MLB, and nobody knows for certain that their use has ended.

  2. I'd run it as a brief, and let the TV guys have it to blow up if they want to.
    Otherwise, it's just stenography.

Those prima donna bitches should'a played 'till there was a winner.

Why, back in myyyyy day, pitchers pitched complete games every day and LIKED it! </spnited>

  5. Sorry to hear that, but it's true.
We are under no obligation to respect PR-inspired trial balloons, especially concerning events that a) can't and, therefore, b) won't happen.

It's not like Selig doesn't have a history of this sort of hand-wringing for PR purposes tough action. Remember that long suspension he gave to Jason Giambi? Oh wait.

I would bring up something to make my point, but apparently "ifs" from my side of the aisle aren't allowed.

PR inspired trial balloons? This doesn't occur almost daily in the world of politics? Gimme a break!

Bingo. Here is great article about the Chargers taking steroids in 1963.
Can anybody tell us exactly when the "steroid era" began

Because if Hank Aaron is reinstated as HR king that means Barry Bonds didn't actually hit more HRs than him!
