Selfish Thread Alert: I'm a proud papa

    Bigpern is now the proud father of Lilpern, who was born Wednesday at 8:53 a.m. Weighing in at 7 pounds, 9.76 ounces and measuring 20 inches long, he is due to make his first start for the Yankees on his birthday, April 11, 2032.

    It may be cliche, but I never could have expected to feel for any living thing the way I feel about him. Seeing him open his eyes for the first time, a moment I've been dreaming of for months, absolutely wrecked me in the best way I could have ever imagined.

    What an awe-inspiring experience today was.

    I took this when he grabbed my finger about 30 seconds after he opened his eyes.

    I'm holding off on the alphabet until he's 15! :D

    His name is Grayson Benjamin.

    I'll spare you all the 200 photos I took in about the first three hours of his life, but damn, I love this kid.

    Thanks, IJAG. It was the most nerve-wracking, exciting, elated feeling I have ever had. I can't even come up with coherent thoughts to describe the whole day (it doesn't help that I've been awake for 22 hours).

    Congrats Pern! And kudos for not posting live updates of your wife's labor on here. I'm sure she appreciates it.

    I'll be sure to pick up Grayson on waivers for my 2032 fantasy team as well.
