Every mock bracket I've seen except Jerry Palm's has the Buffs in. I don't think Palm even has them in the "just missed" category.

Pitt or Notre Dame as the Big East's No. 1 seed?

Notre Dame was hotter at the end and lasted longer in the Big East tourney, so I'd lean toward them.

They also won at Pitt, though I've heard head-to-head isn't particularly important to the Committee.

Penn State lost at Ole Miss and at home to Maine. Not buying that Penn State's a lock while Colorado -- which beat K-State three times, Texas and Mizzou -- is not.

Colorado is in. That last K-State win put the Buffs over the top.

Pitt, Kansas, Ohio State and Duke as the No. 1s.

Chapel Hill, UConn, Notre Dame and San Diego State as No. 2s.

Penn State is not a lock. And I just cannot see UConn pushing past other teams to be a No. 2, although winning four games in four days as a 9 seed is impressive.

Five games in five days, actually.

Give me Tampa or give me death! Not really, but Tampa would be nice.

You are right. The first game was against DePaul, though, so I didn't count it in the impressive portion.

That's my biggest question with a couple of hours to go before we get the 68 teams. I can make the case to put PSU in or leave 'em out.
