Is it wrong that even before I clicked on this, I knew we'd be discussing irony?

 

Am I the only one who thinks that the only ironic thing about this is people giving lectures about irony who don't even know what it is? How is this ironic?

 

He recently bought the company. Previous owners told him that the segway could fly to garner a higher multiple.

 

There is irony in the fact that the guy who bought Segway, convinced it would revolutionize transportation despite many people's doubts about its safety, falls off a fucking cliff while riding it.

 

I don't think there is, though I'll admit I didn't know about the safety issues & his pushing it despite them.
