JournalismJobs.com - Job Listing - Seeking sports writer

The Statesboro Herald, a 7,000 circulation, 6-day AM, is seeking a sports writer to head up our prep coverage in print and online, handle the sports pages layout and design a few days a week and not be afraid to be on camera. You will be a co-host for a weekly prep sports show and offer color analysis for our live stream of a high school football game every week. It is a demanding, but rewarding and fun job that can gain you some great clips and video experience. Statesboro is a college town in southeast Georgia, about 50 miles west of Savannah. It is home to Georgia Southern University and your duties will stretch into some coverage of Georgia Southern, as well. We are part of Morris Multimedia, a strong privately-owned media company, based in Savannah. We offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits. If you are willing to work hard and love sports, email a cover letter and resume to Jim Healy - jhealy@statesboroherald.com. No phone calls, please.
