JournalismJobs.com - Job Listing - Seeking dynamic sports reporter

The Eastern Arizona Courier, twice-weekly paper in the hub of southeastern Arizona, is seeking a dynamic sports reporter.

Sports in the Graham County area features four high schools, a number of other schools in the general vicinity and a local junior college, Eastern Arizona.

However, the heart of the sporting life in Graham County is its outdoor scene — including hunting, fishing, target and bow shooting, hiking and a number of other activities.

The Courier is owned by Wick Communications and as such has a comprehensive benefits program. Wick Communications is a family-owned community media company with newspapers, websites, magazines and specialty publications in 11 states. The home offices are in Sierra Vista, Ariz, and publishes newspapers in Arizona, Alaska, California, Colorado, Idaho, Louisiana, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon and South Dakota, offering the right candidate opportunity for growth and advancement.

For more on this job listing visit our web site at www.eacourier.com and check out Wick at www.wickcommunications.com

Send cover letter, resumé, writing and photographic samples to Managing Editor David Bell at editor@eacourier.com.

Worked with David Bell about 10 years ago in Arizona. Good writer and good person. And that's all I got.

Like any other place not in Phoenix, Tucson or Flagstaff in Arizona, Safford is pretty far away from everything. Two hours from Tucson, three hours from Phoenix. Town of less than 10,000.

Better like, or at least tolerate Mormons, and ultra-conservative political views.

And, of course, it's a dry heat.
