    JournalismJobs.com - Job Listing - Seeking do-it-all sports editor

Looking for a take-charge, do-it-yourself sports editor for a semi-weekly Texas newspaper. Very limited supervision for the right person. Coverage includes four school districts. Salary about $28,000 per year. Must have reliable transportation. Must have the ability to communicate with sports contacts, particularly in person. We do not want a voice-on-the-telephone or I-can-do-it-all-electronically. We're a people-person newspaper and want our sports editor to be the same with the people he/she must work with. Be prepared to work hard. Health insurance provided. Paid vacation, other benefits. Must be ready to relocate quickly.

Good job by whatever paper this is for giving a number. It is quite pathetic, but rather see a number than "negotiable, or based on experience."
