I'll be covering the SEC baseball tournament from May 25-29 in Hoover, Ala.

I'm available to string for newspapers who may not be able to send their beat reporter or otherwise are looking for something besides the wire services.

A lot will be decided, as far as the participating teams, between now and Saturday, of course. I've handled multiple teams at NCAA regionals before and it has never been a problem. Won't be next week, either.

I have worked 31 years in the business, and 25 of those years have been in SEC country. Over the last 17 years I have primarily covered Mississippi State, Ole Miss and to some extent LSU, but I've covered most of the league's coaches and know a handful of them rather extensively.

I'll be leaving for Hoover on Wednesday morning. I can do game stories, player features, sidebars, etc. PM me for any other details, and plenty of references, too.

    Thanks.
