The Seattle Times is seeking a temporary Sports news assistant in our newsroom. This part-time, hourly role is directly responsible for the presentation and packaging of all the agate in the Sports section, which generally includes box scores, standings, schedules and all the content in the Fanfare section. Additionally, the Sports news assistant is responsible for answering the Sports department’s main phone line, and for compiling, editing and updating our TV and radio listings in print and online. Successful candidates should be comfortable collaborating with editors and print designers while compiling, editing, and presenting the content in the Sports section and online.
