    Clay County Advocate Press is seeking resumes for local sports editor. This position covers all aspects of local sports coverage. Some of the requirements are;

    * Staying current with all sports at area schools
    * Sports photography
    * Using Quark XPress and Photoshop
    * Apple computer experience
    * Understanding of the importance of making deadlines
    * Experience in page layout and design
    * Video creation a plus
    * Use of social media for sports updates
    * Available to work when sporting events occur
    * Maintain the highest levels of personal and professional behavior in the workplace.
    * Demonstrate commitment to teamwork and collaborate to achieve deadlines.
    * Coordinate special sections as assigned.
    * Self motivated and aggressive local sports coverage

    **Understand the importance of making deadlines*** Really? This has to be listed? Scares me to think of why they're having to itemize that.

    My favorite is "available to work when sporting events occur." I thought that was kind of the point of being a sports editor/reporter.

    I was at a news job where the sports writer refused to work on the weekends. They fired me then he quit. What goes around, comes around.
