Why is the word 'scuffling' being used more and more in baseball terms as a synonym for struggling?
I don't remember hearing or reading this a decade ago, but now it's ubiquitous.

Why is the word 'ubiquitous' being used more and more in SportsJournalists.com posts as a synonym for everywhere?

Why is the word permeating being used more and more on threads about baseball players scuffling, as a synonym for penetrating?
I don't remember hearing or reading this a decade ago, but now it's omnipresent.

Why is the word omnipresent being used more and more as a synonym for ubiquitous?
I don't remember hearing or reading this a decade ago, but now it's multifarious.

This has been one of the pet phrases of Indians PBP guy Tom Hamilton for years.

Of course with the Indians, it applies most of the time (sadly).

Why the heck is multifarious being thro wn around here so much? I could give you multitudinous reasons why it should never be used.
