    Lot of stuff to clear up here, apparently:

    1. They're taking jobs done currently by about 40 people and retaining about 25 (edit: from what I'm hearing).
    2. The office in Corpus is not "on the bayfront," though it isn't far.
    3. It would take a Category 14 storm to do ANYTHING to that building.

    So all these changes to get rid of 15 jobs. Roughly $700,000 plus benefits.

    Ok, how is this eliminating 15 jobs? Aren't you just moving people around from one building to another?

    you not reading or what, mark? there are 40ish folks between the four papers that work on the universal desk. the new setup will have room for 25. (and, I'm guessing, nothing to assure that all 25 are folks from those old papers, though I expect most will be.) that's 15 without a job.

    The office is downtown near the water. Near the bayfront. It's been too long since I've been to Corpus.
