I use the question mark because I am not sure, though I am reasonably sure.
And I apologize if this is a d_b. Put that on the style thread, apologizing if you're not sure because you don't ever want to be like d_b.

    But.

In the summer double issue, in the article about rookies, the big pic is of the Dodgers' Matt Kemp.

Except I don't think it is Kemp. Someone check behind me.

Kemp is black. And he swings from the right side. Dude in picture is a lefty-hitting white guy.

Dodgers did have a No. 27 earlier in the season and my guess is they just went into the files for No. 27 on the Dodgers this season.

    Am I wrong?

Matt Kemp is black? Next you will be telling me that Brandon Phillips and Ray King are black.

Damnit. I saw the subject headline and thought for sure I'd been hired by SI.

Like I said, a black guy who bats right.
Anyone have the issue at hand?

I have the magazine. Definitely a left-handed batter wearing 27. Cannot tell with certainty from the shadow whether the player is white or black.

But with the Dodgers in gray and the Phillies catcher wearing white, that would appear to be a road game for LA.

And Kemp hasn't played at Philly this year.

LA was at Philly April 7-9, before Kemp's call-up

Thank you. I feel a little better about my accusation now.
A guy at work pointed it out to me, I've kind of been watching Kemp since LA brought him up when it played in Washington.

James Loney wore #27 for the Dodgers for awhile. And he played in Philly and bats left!

    White guy?

My educated and thought out guess is that's him in the picture.
