    I don't agree with Drip, but I also disagree with 93 and shottie, white people don't get to decide whether or not black people should use the word.

    There was a lot of flippant use of the word.

    It was obvious a lot of people here did not recognize the word was offensive.

    I'm with 93Devil here ... hell, you'll never hear it come out of my mouth, but if it's offensive, it's offensive. When you start to put context around the word, you lose a little bit of steam when trying to get it eliminated from the lexicon, which I hope is the ultimate goal.
